Job Description :
Patient Services Representative is an integral role within the patient care team. They are the first line of contact with at the practice, on the phone via digital communication or in person.   They assure a patients experience with the practice is as smooth as possible.  

 

Patient Service Representative Responsibilities: 

 


  • Welcome patients into office, assist with the check in and check out process

  • Assist patient in setup of patient portal account

  • Answer phones, makes appointments, verify patient demographics for accuracy

  • Assist with both internal and external referrals

  • Confirms payor coverage, verifies eligibility, obtains prior authorizations

  • Collection of co-pays, perform daily cash reconciliation


 

 
Required Qualifications :
Patient Service Representative Qualifications: 




  • Needs to be tech savvy and have experience with EMR, billing and scheduling systems

  • Excellent Customer Service skills

  • 1 Year previous experience in Medical Office 

  • Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to maintain calm and composed under pressure
